16 Days for Women

16 Days for Women, or 16 Days of Activism begins on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs through December 10, Human Rights Day. Led by The United Nations, the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence Campaign is a time to galvanize action to end violence against women and girls around the world.

In 2014, Equality for HER and Stand to End Rape, based in Lagos, Nigeria, held a joint campaign to raise awareness about gender based violence in the United States and in Nigeria.  The following photos were taken at the campaign launch.
