Equality for HER’s purpose is to provide free educational resources about issues affecting the 'femme' or feminine identifying community through the development of events, programs, original content, online materials, and print publications.
Our educational content can be accessed through our social media properties and the main organization website, www.EqualityforHER.org. Our programming includes an online media platform, Modern HERstory Series, Internship Program, and the Youth Leadership Initiative. The programs are created to disseminate facts, first hand narratives and stories, and other related research on the causes and the consequences of violence against transgender women, cisgender women, and gender non-binary persons. Our programs are dedicated to providing awareness of and studying the current efforts and solutions toward eradicating such violence.
Since its founding in 2014, Equality for HER has established partnerships with organizations in the United States, Puerto Rico, Nigeria, Pakistan, and England. The launch of Equality for HER's latest series Femme Founders gives feminine identifying individuals the opportunity to showcase their companies, organizations, and movements while inspiring future leaders in the process.
Equality for HER is best known for our Femme's and Women's History Month visual campaigns. In 2014 and again in 2016, we were featured by the staff at Tumblr.com here.
Our other visual campaigns include Breaking the Cycle, a web-enabled, gender-neutral, resource module for domestic violence survivors; Princess Politics (2014); HER Artist of the Week (2014-2015); HER Narratives (2014-2015); and most recently, Femme Founders.
